I have my own carefully selected professional standard equipment.
Standard Sound Kit:
Sound Devices 664 12 channel mixer/recorder with timecode
KT Systems mixer bag
Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun microphone
Rycote Supershield Windshield
K-Tek carbon fibre boom pole
2 x Micron Explorer LCD radio mics with Sanken Cos-11 lavalier microphones
2 x Sennheiser EW100 G3 radio mics with MKE2-gold lavalier microphones
Extras:
Sennheiser MKH30 figure of eight microphone. This can be used with my MKH 416 or other mics in order to provide a stereo boom microphone using the mid/side technique.
Soundfield ST250 surround sound microphone. This microphone can be used for both stereo and surround sound recording, and can also be virtually ‘steered’ in post production for VR purposes.
Timecode: My mixer/recorder has very accurate timecode, but in order to maintain accurate sync without the camera drifting, a timecode box like a lockit or a tentacle is required. Contact me for more details.
If your production needs something I don’t have in my kit locker, I have good relationships and accounts with several hire companies. I usually hire from Audio Dept, Better Sound or Richmond Film Services.
