Teaching

I have taught several short courses on sound recording, sound design and filmmaking.

The first was at Taigh Chearsabhagh, North Uist (Outer Hebrides) to students studying on the fine art course at the University of the Highlands and Islands.  This 3-day course focussed on listening as a discipline, the technology and practice of sound recording, and sound for film.

I also regularly teach short film making and sound recording courses for the Personal Histories Project at the University of Cambridge’s McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research. Recently I have also taught one-day sound workshops at Oxford Brookes University and the Royal Academy Schools.

If you need someone to teach a course about sound, listening, recording, or filmmaking, get in touch.
